UMBA Scholarship Recipient 1991 - In 1987 UMBA, bestowed its first set of scholarships to four local students. With a new school year underway, we thought it would be a great idea to reconnect with our scholarship recipients from the past 30+ years and see "where are they now."
Tim Jones graduated from Carson Long Military Academy in 1989 before going to Bucks County Community College for two semesters. He grew up in Pineville, Pennsylvania and his family have deep roots in the community. The scholarship that Tim received from UMBA helped “bridge the gap between some of the student loans and tuition.”
After college, Tim kept his education, talents and family in the local area. He starting his own general contracting business, JHS - Jones Home Services, as well as working for other local contractors and builders specializing in everything from HVAC to high quality finish carpentry. UMBA is proud to have played a part in Tim’s educational journey and we are glad to reconnect with one of the UMBA Scholarship recipients from 1991. UMBA's goal is to better the community we love through fundraising for scholarships, emergency services, people in need and so much more. Some of UMBA's events include the Revolutionary Run, the Annual Upper Makefield Fire Company Dinner and so much more. If you would like to learn more about the Upper Makefield Business Association, our events, our Scholarship program or to donate or join, please go to our website at www.uppermakefieldba.org. If you would like to be featured as a former recipient send us an email we’d love to hear from you.
